WSTI Testing Capabilities

WSTI has facilities for comprehensive testing of wood and wood-polymer composite structural members. For wood, this includes:

	Full-scale and component tests
	Short-term and long-term creep testing
	Cyclic delamination
	Quality control monitoring

For high-strength fiber-reinforced plastics:

	Tension, compression and shear testing
	Freeze-thaw tests
	Ultraviolet (UV) testing
	Short-term and long-term creep
	Fatigue testing
	Quality control monitoring

WSTI is currently accredited by the Evaluation Service of the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO ES) for the following test standards:

Standards prepared by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM):

	ASTM C series: 271, 272, 297, 365.
	ASTM D series: 143, 198, 905, 1037, 1183, 1622, 1761, 2294, 2395, 2559, 3043, 3535, 4442, 4761, 5055, 5456, 5764.
	ASTM E series: 661.

Standards prepared by the American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC):

AITC T series: 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, 110, 114, 116, 119.

More standards can be added to the above list upon request of our clients. As an example, last year, we asked and received accreditation for two new standards.
